Nostalgia dissected!!!

Today after a two week effort to arrange a get-together of Islamabad Model College F-8/4 and failing miserably, I realized I needed to move on. Out of the 20 odd people we asked to come only one showed up. And it's not like I saw him after a long time either, since we're classmates here at RMC as well.
What hurt the most though was that most of them didn't even bother to tell they weren't showing up. So adios, F-8/4 and in fact all my past memories, because they don't matter. Only the future matters. The people you meet are just rungs of a ladder you use to climb higher. Once on the next step, there is no need to look back. At least, that's what I think most people ae doing right now. And people who're nostalgic for old times are just wasting their time and energy, something they might as well use to climb another rung of the ladder. Because in this day and age, only three things mean anything.....money, sex, and booze. Shit happens....too bad I realized it so late. Not that I'm too interested in this worldly crap......................

Number One

Here is another interesting scrap I saw on orkut............

Congratulations to all of you out there who have contributed greatly in helping Pakistan claim this position!Google, the world’s most popular Internet search engine, has found in a survey that mostly Muslim states seek access to sex-related websites and Pakistan tops the list. Google found that of the top 10 countries - searching for sex-related sites - six were Muslim, with Pakistan on the top. The other Muslim countries are Egypt at number 2, Iran at 4, Morocco at 5, Saudi Arabia at 7 and Turkey at 8. Non-Muslim states are Vietnam at 3, India at 6, Philippines at 9 and Poland at 10.Of all the things we could have been No 1 in, it just had to be PORN!

Survival of The Fittest

Read this in my friend Somair's scrapbook:=

Man, preeminent though he is in the animal kingdom, capable of reacting upon and making suitable an unsuitable environment, nevertheless remains the creature of this same law of development. The social selection to which he is subject is merely another form of natural selection. True, within certain narrow limits he modifies the struggle for existence and renders less precarious the tenure of life for the weak. The extremely weak, diseased, and inefficient are housed in hospitals and asylums. The strength of the viciously strong, when inimical to society, is tempered by penal institutions and by the gallows. The short-sighted are provided with spectacles, and the sickly (when they can pay for it) with sanitariums. Pestilential marshes are drained, plagues are checked, and disasters averted. Yet, for all that, the strong and the progeny of the strong survive, and the weak are crushed out........................................................................................................

Timeout

I don't know, but ever since I remember people have somehow trusted me and told me their deepest darkest secrets. They have always been sure I'd hear them out..........but there is a limit.....I can't listen to more problems....cuz I'm stuck in so many myself. I wish I had some timeouts in life that I could use, because I can't play the game anymore. Or maybe as Kurt Cobain said......Better to burn out than to fade away!!!!!!!!
